Single Friends of Park Cities Baptist Church

Welcome to Single Friends

Welcome to the Single Friends Sunday School class of Park Cities Baptist Church.  We joyfully invite you to heighten your spiritual experiences by joining us in our Sunday morning Bible study class for fellowship and a meaningful exploration of God's word. In Matthew 18:20. Jesus said, "For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them ."

Who We Are

Single Friends is a PCBC Sunday School class of single adults, age 40 and older. In fact, we have no real restrictions on age (younger or older) and we invite singles of all ages to come see what we have to offer for spiritual growth and critical Bible study. As a group, we study the Bible together, pray together, and we socialize together at least monthly. So, if you want dynamic teaching, in conjunction with Christian singles interaction, we are certain that you will come to feel like you belong in this circle of believers. Where We Are

PCBC * 3933 Northwest Parkway * Dallas, TX * 75225.Our church is located about 1 mile east of the Dallas North Tollway. We meet in the West Wing of the church in room 303, and start promptly at 9:20 AM. Worship services start after class at 10:50 AM in the main auditorium.

Bible Study

If you like in-depth study of the scriptures, we invite you to listen in as our teacher, Chris Elkins, relates the problems and issues of the early Christians to the problems and issues of living in a modern society. Our studies of the Bible will explore the profound meaning of the Cross and help you to grow in your relationship with God. One of the stated beliefs of our church is that "We are committed to teaching and training everyone to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ." Come join us! Come and discover for yourself the written Word of God, crafted by his disciples  and believers 2000 years ago. Let God and the Bible become the bedrock of your life!

Prayer

We have a strong prayer program in place to help guide us through the vagaries of the day-to-day trials in the Christian life. It is this commitment that helps us to "grow in the spirit". Paul states in Philippians 4:4-7, " Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus ."

Missions

When we help others, we ourselves are blessed, as we service those in need. Our relationship to those who need our attention is, we believe, one of the key measures of our spirituality, and helps to bind us together. 1 John 2:10, states "Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him to make him stumble." The "light" is our watchword, so that we may "...glorify our Father in Heaven." Come see for yourself!

Communications

We offer an active network of communications to keep you updated on our Sunday morning lessons, and to keep you apprised of all the events going on in the Single Friends/PCBC environment.  The Connection is a weekly information bulletin sent to members and visitors that provides a time line of events in which the class (as well as PCBC) is involved.  We want to connect with members and visitors in every way possible to assist them in making God a daily focus in their lives.
